Spring is such a busy and fun time of year for our student artists! Kindergarten – 5th grade just finished a unit where they learned to draw animals and focused on color theory. Our hallways are being brightened by colorful whales, bees, flamingos, giraffes, and snakes! 6th graders have begun an adventure in the wonderful world of paper mache', and have been making masks for the past few weeks. (Pictured are the masks in various stages, from construction to priming to painting.) All of the students are working extra hard as they look forward to our upcoming art shows – Jackson Crossing and selection for Ella Sharp’s “Art a Loan” – in late April and early May. Stay Tuned!
