Her passion for architecture and living life in a big city began while studying at the University of Notre Dame and spending a transformative year studying abroad in Rome, Italy. She has renovated historic pre-war apartments in New York City, worked on a restoration and addition to a historic home on Long Island and new homes in Aspen, CO and Pennsylvania. She is Sara (Rockwell) Reinthaler, an alumnus of St. John School, Lumen Christi, and the University of Notre Dame. Beginning her education at St. John's provided Sara with a rich education, cultivated creativity, imagination, and learning, but also taught her about what it means to be part of a community, to feel a sense of belonging larger than herself. It was this sense of community that helped Sara after the World Trade Center attacks of 9/11, where she found personal support and a way to give back to those in need. Sara looks back fondly on her years at St. John's, treasuring the intimate class sizes and weekly walks to celebrate Mass. Today Sara continues her career in architecture in New York City, where she is married to her husband of 11 years Scott, competes in triathlons, and experiments with her culinary skills.
